You are about to embark on a beautiful and wonderful journey – the birth of your child. Today, parents-to-be who want a birth that is shorter, healthier, and easier are increasingly choosing the help of a trained labor companion called a “doula.” Doulas are proven to make a true difference in the experience of birth by providing continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother and her partner before, during and after childbirth.
I believe that women deserve to give birth with dignity and that the sanctity of their birth experience be preserved. My role as a doula is to inform you about the choices you have, help you foster self-determination and confidence in yourself, support and help you reach the goals you have set for your birth, and assist you in capturing the empowerment of the birthing process.
As your doula, I will guide, comfort and nurture you through this amazing journey. I look forward to helping you achieve a wonderful birthing experience, the memory of which you will carry with you the rest of your life.
